Cnergyico Pakistan Limited owns and operates a Hydro Skimming petroleum refinery with two complexes: ORC-1, with a capacity of 35,000 BPD, and ORC-2, with a capacity of 120,000 BPD. Both complexes are located in Moza Kund (MKS), District Hub, Baluchistan, Pakistan.
CPL has initiated a project to upgrade its refineries to a Full Conversion FCC Cracking Refinery, which will produce Euro V-compliant products. One of the various assignments under the Upgrade 1 Project was the evaluation of the adequacy of the existing two-tier Main Pipe Rack (MPR) to handle the additional load of Upgrade 1 piping, and subsequent detailed engineering for the modifications required to accommodate the new piping. AIE-PK provided services for Adequacy Evaluation and Detail Engineering.
The scope of work included checking the integrity of MPR structural members, proposing a strengthening scheme for MPR, developing a detailed design for strengthening the MPR structural members and foundations, and adding new pipe supports. It also involved checking the site constraints for implementing the proposed modifications and developing a Detail Engineering Package for the approved modification scheme.
